My thoughts and prayers are with you, Bob's family. Bob was an OSU Grad with a degree in Dairy Technology and as the State Extension Specialist, Dairy Technology I had contact with Bob for many years. His was a life well lived.

Sonja and I are heartbroken over the loss of our good friend and neighbor Bob Martin. He was a fixture in the neighborhood and I always enjoyed talking with him at least a couple of times a week as he rode his ATV on the way to maintain the woods next to our house that he loved so well. It just won't be the same around here without him.
Bob and his family are in our prayers

Rob and family,
I had the pleasure to work with your dad for 15+ years. He was an awesome man and employee. Always positive, energetic, and sometimes excitable, he was proud of his job and the impact it made on the company. He really cared and I truly loved working with him. I'll always have a smile on my face when I think of him.
My condolences to you and your family during this difficult time,
David

You can count the closest of friends on one hand. Bob was one of those. I remember meeting him in first grade and becoming fast and close from then, on. The first 4-H meeting I went to was at his house. We went through school together, on to Ohio State, and then into the Air Force. We were connected at so many levels. Even Uncle Blaine was an uncle to both of us. We had the same history and the same values. We were also connected by our land and farms. Although we both had careers outside of Bethesda, we both cared very deeply about our roots. Both of us even lost our beloved wives in recent years and so we connected on that level, as well. I am so thankful to Bob and the friendship that spanned so many years. I will miss him, dearly. He told me at my wife's funeral, "Whichever one of us goes first, bring the deck of cards." (Because, of course, we will be connected there as well.) Even our plots are close together at Ebenezer. "Bob, I will miss you! See you soon."

I worked for Bob as his administrative assistant for about 8 years at United Dairy Farmers. I am so sorry to hear of his passing. He was such a good man who loved his family. He has a lot of compassion for the folks who worked for him. The world is a better place because he was here. My thoughts and prayers are with his children. He spoke about both of them often and truly loved them.

From letting us stay in his cottage when our family visited Epworth Park to letting us fish at his pond, Bob was such a nice and kind man.
He'll be missed around Epworth Park. May he rest in peace.
