Service

The service for David will begin with Military Honors being conducted by Belmont County Veterans Association at 11:30 a.m., Patron Funeral Homes & Crematory, 702 E. Main Street, Barnesville, Ohio.

Interment

Interment will take place at the convenience of David’s family.

DAVID B. GONOT

 

David B. Gonot, 70, of Quaker City, Ohio, passed away Thursday, October 11, 2018 at his home.  Born August 14, 1948 in Wheeling, West Virginia, he was the son of the late Leo Gonot and Margaret Kathleen Dunn Gonot.

 

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death in 2017, by Jean, his wife of 44 years.

 

David will be missed by those who survive him; sisters, Rose Yvonne (Bob) Gibeaut of Bannock, Ohio, Deborah Renee Gonot of St. Clairsville, Ohio; brother, Leo (Kelli) Gonot of St. Clairsville, Ohio; nephews, Jason Games, Bryan Peters, Logan Gonot, and Matt Gibeaut; nieces, Tracy Peters and Holly Olson; three great-nephews; and one great-niece.

 

A graduate of St. Clairsville High School, David proudly served his country in the United States Air Force during the Viet Nam era.  He worked in maintenance at Belmont Tech, was a retired state of Ohio employee, and most of all loved working his farm.

 

The family will receive guests Monday from 10 a.m. until the time of service which will begin with Military Honors being conducted by Belmont County Veterans Association at 11:30 a.m., Patron Funeral Homes & Crematory, 702 E. Main Street, Barnesville, Ohio.  Interment will take place at the convenience of David’s family.
