Obituary of Melissa Kaye Britton

MELISSA BRITTON

 
Melissa K. Britton, 44, of Barnesville, Ohio, passed away at her home, September 17, 2018, with her family by her side. She was born September 10, 1974 in Bellaire, Ohio, daughter of Wanda Brill and the late Leonard Carpenter.

 
A loving and devoted wife, mother, daughter, sister, and friend. she worked in Medical Records for Ohio Hills Health.  An extraordinary person, Melissa was very caring and giving to others, touching the lives of all she came in touch with.  She loved butterflies and the color purple.

 
In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her step-father, Tom Brill, both of whom touched Melissa’s life in their own special way.

Melissa’s memory will live on in the lives she touched and by those who survive her:  husband of seven years, Chad Britton of Barnesville; daughters, Nichole Farson (Teddy Farnesworth) and Jennifer Farson; son, Jonothan Carpenter; sister, Kristie (Walt) Garrison; brother, Duane (Dawnell) Carpenter; and her very special nieces and nephews, Megan and Derick Garrison and Calob, Hannah, Laklynn, and Alan Carpenter.  She was their special “aunt Lissa.”

Family and friends are welcome to visit, Wednesday from 2 until 8 p.m. and Thursday from 10 a.m., until the time of service beginning at 11 a.m., Patron Funeral Homes & Crematory, 702 E. Main Street, Barnesville, Ohio.  Chuck Francis officiating.  Interment will follow at Ebenezer Cemetery, Bethesda, Ohio.
