John A. Martinko
John Anthony Martinko, 76, of Bates City, Missouri, passed away Wednesday, August 22, 2018 at Oak Grove Nursing & Rehab in Oak Grove, MO. Services will be held at Royer Funeral Home, Oak Grove, on Friday, August 24th with visitation at 6:30 p.m. and funeral at 7:00 p.m. Interment will be Monday in Belmont Cemetery, Belmont, OH.
John was born November 8, 1941, in Loomis, Ohio, the son of John Lewis and Elizabeth Ann (Rafe) Martinko. He was a heavy equipment operator at Inland Quarry and a member of Local 101. John was a member and priest of the Bates City Restoration Branch. He owned and admired old cars and enjoyed playing softball and volleyball.
John was preceded in death by his parents, and his wife, Carol, in 2014.
His survivors include his son, John H. Martinko (Tina) of Bates City, MO; daughter, Lisa M. Bullard (Mitch) of Independence, MO; brother, William Mark Martinko of Bates City; seven grandchildren: Shane Martinko, Ryan Martinko, Daniel Martinko, Seth Martinko, Brianna Walters, Amanda Crowther, and Sean Bullard; and thirteen great-grandchildren.
