Obituary of Harold James Hoskinson

HAROLD “BUTCH” JAMES HOSKINSON

Harold “Butch” James Hoskinson, 73, of Barnesville, Ohio, passed away at his home, June 9, 2018.  Born in Bellaire, Ohio, June 9, 1945, he was the son of the late Harold Glenn and Helen Lois (nee Hendershot) Hoskinson.

A loving husband, father, and grandfather, and an avid sports fan, Butch was a huge OSU, Steelers, and Cavilers follower.  He was retired from Netcare, where he had worked helping to change the lives of those in a crisis situation, with the respect and care needed to put their lives back on the right path.   After his retirement, he enjoyed driving the Amish, again, taking pleasure in helping others.

Butch will always be in the hearts and memories of those who survive him; his wife of 19 years, Margaret “Peg” Hoskinson of Barnesville, Ohio; daughters, Lynn Hoskinson and fiancée Jim Robinson of Texas, Beth and husband Bert Simonson of Flushing, Ohio; and grandchildren, Taylor and  Cassidy Simonson.

Family and friends are welcome to visit, Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., Patron Funeral Homes & Crematory Kelly Kemp Braido, 702 E. Main Street, Barnesville, Ohio, where the service for Butch will be conducted, Thursday at 11 a.m.  Reverend John Jackson officiating.  Interment will follow at Warnock Cemetery, Warnock, Ohio.
