Obituary of Jill Anne Hanse Palmer

JILL ANNE HANSE PALMER

Jill Anne Hanse Palmer, 66, of Bethesda, Ohio, was born May 12, 1951 at Barnesville Hospital and died February 21, 2018 at Trinity Hospital Twin City.

She was a 1969 graduate of Barnesville High School, worked for a short time at Lotus Glass Factory in Barnesville, and NCR in Cambridge.  She married Allen Palmer of Barnesville on April 14, 1973.  Jill and Allen raised a family together and were married for over 44 years.  She enjoyed knitting, needlepoint, cross-stitch, embroidery, and reading.  She will be missed by her family and friends.

In addition to her parents, Francis and Anne Hanse, she was preceded in death by an infant son, Jeffery Palmer.

Jill is survived by her husband, Allen Palmer of Bethesda, Ohio; children, Missie Palmer of Columbus, Ohio, Rusty (Melissa) Palmer of Crystal Lake, Illinois, Suzanne (Lee) Paxton of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania;  grandchildren, Autumn, Cameron, and Melody Palmer; brothers, Don (Nita) Hanse of Ocala, Florida, Rick (Sharon) Hanse of Barnesville, Ohio; and sister, Judi Hanse (Danny Gallagher) of Calais, Ohio.

In honoring the wishes of Jill, there will be no visitation.  A private gathering will be held on Saturday to celebrate Jill's life.

The family has entrusted Jill’s care with Patron Funeral Homes & Crematory Kelly Kemp Braido, Barnesville, Ohio.
