A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, March 17, 2018 at noon, Assumption Catholic Church, 306 West Main Street, Barnesville, Ohio. Father Dave Cornett presiding.

Interment

Interment will follow at Assumption Catholic Cemetery, Barnesville, Ohio.

MARY M. TOOHEY

 

Mary Marceline “Marcie” Toohey, 68, of Barnesville, Ohio, was welcomed into her eternal home January 29, 2018 at Barnesville Hospital surrounded by her family.  Born November 13, 1949 in Barnesville, she was the daughter of the late Dale Toohey and Judith T. St. John Toohey.

 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by grandparents, Fred and Mary Toohey; stepmother, Vera Toohey; brothers, Steven Toohey and Richard Hatcher; and sister, Cathy Hatcher.

 

Marcie will be sadly missed and forever in the hearts of her daughters, Julia (Jim) Wise of Cadiz, Ohio, Rebecca (Ron) Greenlee of Bethesda, Ohio; sons, William Sudduth of Pennsylvania, Richard (Debbie) Sudduth of Columbus, Ohio; grandchildren, James, Jacquelyn, and Brooklyn Wise, Darrien and Zachary Greenlee, Quinton, Chantealy, Teresa, and Steven Sudduth; great-granddaughters, Cara, Hallie, Arielle, and Evalyn; sisters, Marlene Warner of Caldwell, Ohio, Darlene Mulpas of Glouster, Ohio, Anita Greufe, Paula Eckstine, Phyllis Foster, Robyn Dexter, and Janai Moore all of Oregon; brothers, Fred and Timothy Toohey both of Barnesville, Ohio; Rodney Toohey of Port Wentworth, Georgia, and John Toohey.

 

She was a member of Assumption Catholic Church, attended School of Assumption from grades 1st through 8th, and was a 1967 graduate of Barnesville High School.  Over her life span, she worked for a variety of places, such as Bohandy’s, Belmont Manufacturing, Sears Catalog Store, Barnesville Hospital, and was team captain for 5 B’s Sewing Factory, just to mention a few.  She was a loving, compassionate, warmhearted mother, grandmother, and sister and had a tremendous love for her animals.

 

Marcie loved bingo, crocheting, knitting, sewing, and computer games.  She enjoyed women’s softball and bowling leagues in her younger years and was a member of Barnesville VFW Ladies’ Auxiliary Post 2592 and Barnesville Eagles #4252.
