Obituary of Elmer V. Kennessey

ELMER KENNESSEY

 

Elmer V. Kennessey, 91, of Belmont, Ohio, died Monday, January 22, 2018 at his home.  He was born November 1, 1926 in Bradshaw, West Virginia, son of the late Arnold Kennessey and Pricilla Nagy Kennessey.

 

He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather.  He was a retired painter and served in the United States Navy during the Korean Conflict.

 

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife of 68 years, Pauline Kennessey and daughter, Karen Kennessey.

 

Elmer is survived by his sons, Elmer Kennessey, Jr. of Antioch, California and William (Barbara) Kennessey of Sacramento, California; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and brother, Norman Kennessey of Alabama.  Elmer, a friend to many and sadly missed.

 

In keeping with Elmer’s wishes, there will be no visitation.  A private service and interment will take place at a later date, at the convenience of his family.

 

The family has entrusted Elmer’s care with Patron Funeral Homes & Crematory Kelly Kemp Braido, Bethesda, Ohio.
