Obituary of James A. Newland, Sr.

JAMES NEWLAND, JR.

James A. Newland, Jr., 68, of Holloway, Ohio, died December 17, 2017 at his home, with his family by his side.  Born in Wheeling, West Virginia June 14, 1949, he was the son of Helen Woods Newland and the late James Newland, Sr.

Jim's love for his family was immeasurable.  He loved his dog, Harley, his faithful and loyal companion and best friend.  He enjoyed gardening and barbecuring, as they were relaxing and a great way to enjoy the outdoors.

In addition to his mother, Helen Newland of Holloway, Ohio, Jim is also survived by his wife of 19years, Nancy Newland of Holloway, Ohio; daughters, Jennifer (Jim) Sullivan of Arizona, Colleen (Jason) Milburn of Holloway, Ohio; son, Glenn (Angie) Newland of Newark, Ohio, Troy Huml, Jr. of Flushing, Ohio; and nine grandchildren.

In keeping with Jim's wishes, there will be no visitation or service and interment will take place at a later date, at the convenience of his family.

The family has entrusted Jim's care with Patron Funeral Homes & Crematory Kelly Kemp Braido, Bethesda, Ohio.

A limb has fallen from the family tree that says, "Grieve not for me.  Remember the best times, the laughter, the song, the good life I lived, while I was strong."
