Family and friends are welcome to visit, Wednesday from 4 to 8 p.m., Patron Funeral Homes & Crematory Kelly Kemp Braido, 702 East Main Street, Barnesville, Ohio. A Masonic Service will be conducted at 7 p.m., by the Bethesda Hazen Masonic Lodge #251.

Service

The service for Don will be conducted, Thursday at 11 a.m., Patron Funeral Homes & Crematory Kelly Kemp Braido, 702 East Main Street, Barnesville, Ohio. Reverend John Jackson officiating.

Interment

Interment will follow at Ebenezer Cemetery, Bethesda, Ohio.

CHARLES “DON” WADE

Charles Donald “Don” Wade, 91, of Barnesville, Ohio, died Monday, November 6, 2017 at Barnesville Hospital.  Born May 31, 1926 in Barnesville, Ohio, he was the son of the late William Wade and Mary Anderson Wade.

A loving and devoted husband, father, and grandfather, Don was a very hard working man, and was a foreman for the North American Coal Company Mine #3.  He served as the former mayor of Bethesda, as well as Bethesda Council Past President, and was a member of the United Methodist Church of Bethesda.  Don was a 32nd degree Mason and was a 50 year plus member of the Hazen Masonic Lodge #251.  He was a postal rural carrier for 17 years in Barnesville and umpired baseball games for many years.  Don proudly served his country in the United States Navy, during World War II.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Lewis, Thomas, and Raymond Wade.

Don was greatly loved and will be dearly missed by his wife of 71 years, Martha Wade of Barnesville, Ohio; daughters, Mary K (Monte) Phillips of Barnesville, Ohio, Connie (Rick) Milburn of Bethesda, Ohio; son, Robert (Cindy) Wade of St. Clairsville, Ohio; grandchildren, Lori Rockwell, Kevin Phillips, Tricia DeWitt, Matt Milburn, Ryan Milburn, Travis Wade, and Mandy Milburn; great-grandchildren, Brady, Emily, and Katey Rockwell, Jackson and Claire Phillips, Lilly, Annabelle, Emmie, and Jack DeWitt, Dalton, Riley, and Zane Milburn, Hudson Milburn, and Ella Wade; and brother, Richard Wade of Bowerston, Ohio.
