Obituary of Carol Jean McConnell

Carol Jean McConnell, 59, of Barnesville, Ohio, died Sunday, July 23, 2017 at Liza’s Place.  Born July 7, 1958 in Barnesville, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Roy Cozad and June DePew Cozad.

A deep love for family, Carol’s greatest masterpiece was her children and her love for them was like nothing else in the world.  She was an avid reader, enjoying all the possibilities books shared.  Carol had worked as an RN for over 35 years.  

Carol is survived by her children, Sarah and Reece McConnell of Barnesville, Ohio; sisters, Patty (Keith) Phillips of Bethesda, Ohio, Nancy Cozad of Barnesville, Ohio, Sue (Gary) Bowman and Martee (Roy) Rogers all of Springfield, Ohio; brother, Michael (Sharon) Cozad of Sand Springs, Oklahoma; special niece, Janie Beth (Jim) Murphy of Springfield, Ohio; special cousin, Karen (Jim) Williamson of Barnesville, Ohio; and her  faithful canine companions, Leo and Bruce, who gave her pure love.

Honoring Carol’s wishes, there will be no visitation and a private Graveside Service will be conducted at her family’s convenience at Crestview Cemetery, Barnesville, Ohio.

The family has entrusted Carol’s care with Patron Funeral Homes & Crematory, Kelly Kemp Braido, Barnesville, Ohio.
