Obituary of Melody Lane Edwards

MELODY EDWARDS

Melody Lane Wilson Edwards, 71, of Benwood, WV, went to her eternal home on June 19, 2017.  She was born into this life August 1, 1945 in Belmont, Ohio, daughter of the late John Wilson and Beulah Morris Wilson.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Edwards.

Melody is survived by her loving family; daughters, Melissa (Arnold) Baines of Hurricane, WV, Mindy (Paul) Palumbo of Long Island, NY; son, Joseph (Judy) Liddle of Benwood, WV; seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and brother, Armond (Janet) Wilson of Morristown, OH.

Mother, Nana, friend, Melody, throughout her life, amassed a huge family, extended and church family; all brought together through her love of her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren, but mostly, through God.  Her home was the gathering place for endless, amazing holidays and lazy days, all which, of course, centered around her cooking, baking, and candy making. 

We will remember every special hug, kiss, and bit of laughter given, as a gift to all of us from Melody.

Honoring Melody’s wishes, there will be no visitation and a private service with interment will take place at the convenience of her family.  Armond and Janet Wilson will be hosting a gathering of family and friends at their home, 118 East Main Street, Morristown, OH 43759 on July 8, 2017 from 12 to 3 p.m.  Please join us as we celebrate Melody’s wonderful life.
