"Together Again"

NORMA BAXTER

Norma Baxter passed away with peace and grace after her battle with Alzheimer’s, on June 16, 2017, with family by her side.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Sara Lillian Buser and Venus Monroe Todd; husband, Richard “Dick” Baxter of 50 years; son, Richard T. Baxter; and sister, Joann Brown.  She is survived by her daughter, Robin Baxter (Eric); son, Patrick (Claudia) Baxter; brother-in-law, Gary (June) Baxter; grandchildren, Kelly (Jessica) Bradshaw, Daniel (Heather) Bradshaw, Aaron (Melissa) Baxter, Abbi (Keith) Baxter, and Cori Baxter.

Norma was born in Chili, Ohio and moved to Canton as a small child.  She worked at Wilson Rubber for 20 years and retired from Plain Local Schools.  After marrying Richard, she put all her energies into raising her children.  Her pride and joy was cooking for family and friends.  Norma was an avid sports fan, particularly of the Ohio State Buckeyes and Cleveland Browns.  Her card playing skills were superb.

Honoring Norma’s wishes, there will be no visitation. A Graveside Service will be held at Sunset Memory Gardens in Canton, Ohio on Saturday, July 1, 2017 at noon.

The family wishes to thank Norma’s caregivers; Phyllis, Jennifer, Evelyn, Golda, and Bradley.

She will always be remembered as a loving mother and grandmother, whose greatest passion was helping others.  She leaves us rich in memories.

The family has entrusted Norma’s care with Patron Funeral Homes & Crematory Kelly Kemp Braido, Bethesda, Ohio.
