Obituary of Edward Wayne Emory, Sr.

EDWARD EMORY, SR.

Edward Wayne Emory, Sr., 93, of Bethesda, Ohio, died at his home on Friday, August 25, 2017.  Born July 8, 1924 in Derwent, Ohio, he was the son of the late Gerald Emory and Joie Mae Kraft Emory.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Wilda Emory in 1985; son Dennis Emory in 1973; brothers, Glen and Arlos Emory; sisters, Juanita and Audrey Emory, and Rena Blaney.

Ed is survived by his daughters, Barbara Denig of Westerville, Ohio, Deborah West of Bethesda, Ohio; sons, Ed Emory II and Tom Emory both of Bethesda, Ohio, Jeff Emory of Jacksonville, Florida, Barry Emory of Johnstown, Ohio; 14 grandchildren; and many, many great-grandchildren.

A World War II Army Veteran, he enjoyed fishing and had a great love of animals.

Honoring Ed’s wishes, there will be no visitation.  A Graveside Service will be held Tuesday, August 29, 2017 at 11 a.m., Ebenezer Cemetery, Bethesda, Ohio.  Pastor Guy Norris officiating.

The family has entrusted Ed’s care with Patron Funeral Homes & Crematory Kelly Kemp Braido, Bethesda.
